UTMFirst asks students for support on election day

As the time for SGA elections approaches, the UTMFirst political party would like to inform the student body of who we are, what we stand for, and what we want to accomplish in SGA next year.

UTMFirst is comprised of six candidates from diverse backgrounds: Tracy Baker for President, Rachel Albritton for Vice President, Eric Rivera, Harrison Woodard, Erin Chambers, and Rebecca Dailey for Senate.

We believe that, in creating a political party, we have joined together as a group of student servants with common goals and objectives, and who, after elected, will be able to immediately begin promoting positive change for the students of UTM in our respective offices.

Among some of our primary objectives are to increase interactions on campus between students, faculty, and the outside community, to promote diversity through a persistent attitude of open-mindedness and dedication, and to improve communication and resources for students organizations. In addition, we also seek to spark a state-wide initiative to reform the Tennessee Lottery Scholarship Program, a program which, in many instances, disenfranchises the very students it seeks to benefit.

We invite you to find out more about us on our website, www.utmfirst.com. SGA elections are April 5th and 6th; the members of UTMFirst would greatly appreciate your votes!

Tracy Baker Presidential Candidate Lebanon, Tenn.
