Student gives Martin thanks for support

The men of Phi Beta Sigma, Nu Iota Graduate Chapter and the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta, Upsilon Gamma Zeta Graduate Chapter, would like to thank all of those who attended the Social Action Day 2006 AIDS Awareness program on Saturday March 25th. Thanks to the students of UTM and the residents of Weakley County, our program was a success.

Our goal is to continue to bring both informational and entertaining activities to the Martin community and we hope to maintain your support.

Please, feel free to contact us at Zeta Phi Beta/Upsilon Gamma Zeta, P.O. Box 3003, Jackson, TN 38303 or at Upsilon_Gamma_Zeta@yahoo.com for information on upcoming events or to let us know your suggestions/feedback.

Endorsement for Orr

As the current President of the Student Government Association at the UT Space Institute, I fully endorse James Orr for president of the SGA at UTM.

I have known James personally for two years and can say without hesitation that he has the knowledge, ability and passion to effectively and unselfishly serve the students of UTM.

During the past few years, SGA across the UT system has been constantly moving forward and striving to improve UT as a whole, and James has been an integral part of this effort.

Throughout the years that I have known him, I have been impressed with his professionalism, drive and enthusiasm. I understand the role of the SGA is important on your campus as well as the university system.

The power of the SGA should be placed in the hands of a capable and astute leader.

This leader is most definitely James Orr.
